Revival Arch {poetry}

You don't seem to understand

Just how perfect you are.

You so effortlessly picked up the debris

Left from the cataclysmic events of my past.

You didn't even notice the distressed walls,

You simply painted over them

Leaving all the rugged wear and tear

Almost unnoticeable.

And sure,

Maybe a chip will break away

From my once creaky floorboards.

But you seem to repair it in no time at all.

And the tedious task

Of removing the splinters embedded in your fingertips

Doesn't seem to bother you at all.
