Irregular work hours

This post is for all my fellow retail workers and also to my waitresses, contract workers and anyone else it applies to.

Does anyone else work a job where you work irregular hours and days? Like one day it could be 6-12 another day it could be 9-4? If so, how does it make you feel?

For me, it's bearable but honestly, I wish they would at least keep times regular. I am contracted 30 hours and I wish I could just work 6 hours a day over the 5 days instead of 7 one day and 5 the next. I also regret saying I was available Saturdays as they make me really anxious and they are the only full day I ever get with my fiancé if I'm scheduled off.

If you work regular hours I'd love to know how it feels to know your rotas and times consistently too, I've never been on that end of work before.
