Autism acceptance month!! :D

!!!TW for ableism and physical harm of autistic people!!!

Its now april and im excited for alot of things! For one Easter but its also Autism awerness and acceptance month! As an autistic person who only found out april was such a great month i wanted to talk about who non-autistic people can show support and not be abelist! :3 A really good and subtle way to do so is to wear red! It doesnt nessicarily have be red clothing it can be red anything! Like hair clips, bows, jewllary etc.

Also please do not support Autism Speaks. They are incredibly abelist and hurt autistic people in so many ways for example theres something called the Shock To Cure movement (i think thats what its called correct me if im wrong) but what they do is they send harmful electric shocks through an autistics persons body to try and 'cure' them. Autism is not something that can be cured as it is not a disease but thats what they think it is. And Autism Speaks have been around for 15 years now. 15 years of straight ableism. But to end on a happier note there are thankfully organizations you can support that help autistic people is so many ways!
