you know, i never really knew "equality" before i entered year 9. being a girl was easy, and that was that. yet ive entered the more "grown-up" world of teenagers, and it sucks. majorly.
people think they can say anything about women and not get backlash from it??
i really dont understand it
and the more i think about it, and the way people have treated me because im a women just seems more and more unfair and i am told by my own mother to "suck it up?"
how is it fair??
im told to "cover up", "put a shirt on" when i wear something tight, and to "dress more feminine" when i wear a tshirt and jeans.
i cant win?
and people treat my opinions like dirt, no one fucking listens to me
the way my own friends talk about women, be the women they're attracted to or they're ex's, its fucking disgusting.
and everytime i try to say something im met with "shut the fuck up no-one cares"
i dont get anywhere by whispering
i dont get anywhere by yelling
i dont get anywhere.
the fact that this is still going on even though we are in 2022 is so confusing
i am not "lesser than" anyone.
i just dont know how to be heard.
