literally just music

i can't find who the first person that invented recording is - there are a few different answers floating around - but whoever it was deserves the most peaceful rest in the afterlife. the fact that music is so easily accessible in every day life. the way that it helps build the foundation for so many people's relationships, it is a way of expressing emotions that you simply cannot form into words, it is a floatation device for the struggling, a guide for the lost. literally i don't think there is anything i love more in this world. if you need to lose track of reality for a while? music.

it's so cute when people get excited for their favourite band/singer to release a new album or go on tour.

i could talk for hours about music. personally my favourite band is Arctic Monkeys; i love the way Alex Turner crafts his lyrics so they aren't simply stating things but making you think about deeper meanings, the poetic way the lyrics are worded that just make you feel. the entire bands stage presence. the journey the songs take you on.

if you have any music recommendations i'm all ears, but here are a few songs/artists i would recommend:

- back to NYC by Jeff Buckley (in fact probably the whole album)
- sir Chloe (party favours)
- the runaways (the runaways)
- Trick by Alex G
- literally any Arctic Monkeys song (you can't go wrong)
- the last shadow puppets
- golden brown by the Stranglers
- Live in Life by the Rubens
- zombie by the cranberries
- my kind of scene by Powderfinger
- down in a hole by Alicia Widar
- nausea by Violet & Dave Grohl

i know it's kind of a long list but i did try to narrow it down
