♥Madoka Magica Blabbering♥

MADOKA MAGICA IS A REALLY GOOD SHOW. I feel like tons of people already know that BUT LIKE. this show has plagued my mind for YEARS now and i'm only now talking about this because this website makes me feel like i can just talk about dumb shit and not care about if 50 million people will see it or not. I really only care about that because of how awkward I am bUT ANYWAYS

first off. the STYLE of the anime is REALLY fucking cool. I'm a sucker for good animation, but i have an even softer spot for creative things like this so, HOLY shit. the show has a very cure style for its characters, and has an even more interesting style for the way they do the witch labyrinths. they're made like, in a collage sort of style where they took like, real objects and such and put them in along with their animation and it just, clashes in the most amazing way possible. 

i won't go much into the story and such because liike, spoilerz,,,,, BUT it's a magical girl anime, and it subverts the regular magical girl tropes, and i ADORE that about it. it takes the concept of being a magical girl, and asks what that actually means. it answers the kinds of questions you ask magical girl anime, like, "are they just gonna have to do this forever?" and "what happens if they want to quit?" it takes its time to give their own explanations for these questions, and makes a huge effort to flesh out the characters and the world around them. 

the soundtrack is also amazing for the show too, each character has a theme, and sometimes you can hear those themes in different songs and such, and the themes the show gives the other music come up a lot too, which i have always thought was really cool. 

there's also some queer content in it too!!! it came out in 2011 i think so it's not that obvious and such, and what i mean by that is they don't really go out of their way to express that 2 characters are dating but there is definitely love between characters, and official art also has them paired up a lot of the time so!!! yeah!!!

it got announced on my birthday this year so like :"))) i'm super excited

its supposed to be a continuation of the 3rd movie they made for the show called "Rebellion"
