A frightening experience
I was sitting in the closed garage at 3:20 am. I was going through this large box of stuff that i guess was my granddad's; photos, old tickets to baseball games, pins, a few watches and pocket knives, one or two human teeth. I heard a noise come from the corner of the room but i didn't think anything of it. My grandma's car was in the garage so my view of the area where the noise came from was obscured from where I was sitting, but again, i thought nothing of it...
A few minutes later, i see something out of the corner of my eye, something's behind the car and it's walking into view, maybe it's one of those stray cats that hang around here...
four or five feet in front of me, and in front of the door into the house
I couldn't see the door to the house because of a pile of boxes but the skunk was right in front of it sniffing around. It didn't seem that frightened of me because i was sitting down, quiet, at a good distance. Did i leave the door open? Is the skunk gonna go inside? What do i do then?
It seemed to back away from the door a bit. I saw this as my chance. I began to get up and startled, the skunk backed away. I got up and ran to the door and shut it behind me despite all of the stuff I left out in the garage that I was going to put back in the box and put away neatly, but there was no time for that, and I wasn't gonna go back out there with the skunk. It would have been cool if I had my phone with me to take a quick picture because it was so close, but I'm lucky to have made it out alive. I knew my mom and my grandma were gonna wake up before me so I left them a note about what happened and that day my grandma said that for the past few days stuff had been getting knocked over in her garage and she finally knew what it was. She opened the door all day for it to leave but the next night I checked underneath some wood pallets and the skunk was there so I opened up the garage and checked a few time after that and I think it left. My friend thinks the skunk might be looking for a safe place to lay it's eggs so that's why it's hiding in the garage but who knows.
