Little rant/vent (idk wat to call this)

Why do parents think its okay to threaten to take away things that you love and care about, like recently I got budgies and now my mum is using it as a way for me to listen to her otherwise she'll let em out of the cage and kill em herself and what because I said hold on. Like idk why she thinks this will make our relationship better, I'm just tired of it.
