dreams <3 (*˘︶˘*).｡.:*♡

i had a dream last night where i was laying in this meadow, there was a soft breeze that brought in the smell of the ocean. i was wearing a white, lacey, sundress with a few laces and straps laced with silk that sat below my shoulder. i was barefoot, a small stack of books beside me that sat slightly adjacent from a basket that seemed to be filled with cloth wrapped berries of a sort. it was like some movie, especially when i looked to my left and he was laying there. when i saw him, all the sounds rushed in, the sound of the wind licking at the uncut grass, distant waves from the beach, and his voice, talking about something that i can't quite remember. i wish i did, i remember listening to him, soaking in the blanket the sun laid upon me. i remember not worrying about anything, not the way he saw me, not my family, not anyone or anything. i was free, i felt free. when i sat up, i saw the ocean down and in the distance. i shook my hair free of any grass and stood up, staring for a moment or two, just looking out into the vast blue sky that looked as if it melted into the ocean. i felt him hug me from behind, his arms around my waist as he swayed me gently from side to side humming something, again, i can't remember what, but it was sweet.

i wanted it to last forever. from there on my memory is sort of hazy, i remember picking flowers, reading, and falling asleep next to him while he held me, still wrapped in the blanket of sun.

i woke up at 3am to my cat clawing at my lights.
