STRICT CLOSE MINDED PARENTS

I wanna cut my hair low really bad but my parents say that's an adult decision and that I might look like a boy. But that hairstyle is what I feel would express myself best sooo idk. I was just gonna cut it without their permission because they can't do anything once it's gone but I don't want to betray them and also I'd be grounded forevs. :(
