What they don't tell you about being a Content Creator

Content Creation looks glamorous and super fun when your on the outside looking in. What they don't tell you is all the  work that goes into it.

• You're your own marketing and pr team. That's two 40+ hour a week jobs right there.
• The actual creation of the content is also another 40+ hour a week job.
• You have to edit all of your stuff, again another 40+ hour a week job depending on how much you are filming and editing. Whether it's just photos or videos for youtube, tiktok, instagram reels etc.
• Burnout is real and happens very quickly.
• You have to learn to understand your analytics so you know what you are doing well and what you need to work on.
• There will always be people who want you to fail.
• There will always be people who get close to you in an effort to use you for their own gain, rather than doing the work themselves.
• Choose those closest to you carefully so you have positive influences in your life.
• Sometimes you have to set some pretty hard and fast boundaries to keep yourself safe and comfortable in  your own spaces.
