I been gyaru for some time now and i'm not trying to gate keep gyaru but gyaru is more than cheetah print, droopy eyes, and tan skin. I seen so many people claiming to be gyaru then only know that gyaru is just gal and you have to have tan skin. it's a lifestyle people!! not just clothing!! also you guys need to stop saying ganguro is gyaru and commenting on pinterest posts that have ganguros (very dark skinned gyarus, usually super tanned which ISN'T ok.) yes you can say ganguro is gyaru and a subculture of gyaru but we need to remember that ganguro doesn't exist anymore, ganguro isn't a thing anymore, stop reaching. i'm also mad at the fact the royal high "gyarus" know nothing about gyaru but how they dress and act like they are and they get so many clout from it. all i see over and over again is a royal high roblox character with tan skin, droopy eyes and pink cheetah print over and over when you search gyaru royal high. Baby gyarus are usually inspired by this, it's fine to like cheetah print, droopy eyes and tan skin but just remember that gyaru isn't only that. there's so many gyaru subcultures but a fanfav is kogal, i seen a lot of kogals on tiktok. also seen a lot of gyarus do para para, which is fine but you don't NEED to dance para para to be gal, i try dancing para para but never seemed to have a huge passion for it.
Also i have a huge problem with gyarus telling baby gyarus that they can't be gyaru just because they don't have the right clothing yet. Gyaru isn't something you magically become when you get the "right clothes" like i said, they are many subcultures of gyaru and baby gyarus are called baby gyarus for a reason, they are new and just on their way on the gyaru lifestyle.

i view this as a style not many people think so but many people know that if you enter a sort of. style they need to look up many things and how it goes by.

this!!! as a baby gyaru, its hard to find much besides just being gyaru with clothes and makeup. it is so, so much more than that. in fact, it was used to protest against beauty standards in the first place!! being gyaru isnt just big hair, tan skin and big lashes. it's more than just flip-phones, kaomojis and fluffy boots. its about being wild, being sexy!! being yourself in the best and most fun way you can be. at least from what i can tell. and honestly, that's what got me intrigued in the first place. it's brought out such a positive and confident part of myself. sure.. you can look likd a gyaru, but you've got to understand the culture and people and history!!

I wanna learn gyaru slang when I learn japanese, but I'm scared I'll mess up the accent and be called racist. Srry abt the rant lolz!
