I’ve spent this evening watching live performances of Mazzy Star. My favourite one is the performance at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in 1994. There’s something particularly intriguing about her stage presence. The way she looks down and looks to the side, barely looking at the crowd. The way her voice floats around the stage. She effortlessly delivers this ethereal energy that is absolutely captivating. It’s hard to say what exactly is going on inside her head at that moment. Is she focused on delivering an adequate performance or just letting the music escape from her without a care about how it is received?

Yeah I would love to know more about her. But there's something cool about how she didn't do a lot of interviews. It shows that her priority was not selling the music through interviews and stuff and instead just enjoyed playing the music.
