Hoiiiii I got hungry and was craving something doughy so
I decided to look up the recipe to the Thai donuts I had last week ^*^
After a very lazy research for the recipe I found it!!
Ingredients1 cup flour1 teaspoon active dry yeast 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar 1/8 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 cup water oil, for frying |
DirectionsCombine the ingredients except for the oil and water (flour, yeast, salt, sugar, baking soda) into a bowl. Slowly stir in the water as little by little as you mix just until a dough-like texture becomes visible. Knead the dough to set aside and covered it with a damp towel, for 2 hours. Then heat up 2 inches of oil in a skillet to 360 degrees F. Form the dough into small balls (my choice). Add the donuts to the hot oil and cook until puffy and golden brown. Remove the now cooked donuts to the side to drain. |
This will make a serving of 1 and will take 4 hours and 30 minutes to make
(Timing based on my experience)
I also made my own homemade buttercream icing to go with it since I like mine on the more " sweet and salty" side but you could also just always just
use sweetened condensed milk!
