The Hellish Landscape of a Doctor's Office

After sitting in a doctor’s office for over two hours, I am made to feel as though the hellish landscape of these places is almost intentional. The chairs, made for people who are coming in due to their physical ailments, are the most uncomfortable chairs that I have encountered in my life. The back of the chair is not long enough to shield you from the pointless wooden board that sits along the perimeter of the wall. It is impossible to lean back without the board lodging itself in between two of your vertebrates.

I came to the clinic to find some clarity over my lost voice. The doctor gave me some advice about treatment, but nothing I did not already know. Take Advil, drink water, rest your voice, he said. Next, the doctor rammed a long swab up my nose to test for covid. Doctors really have no mercy when it comes to that kind of thing. He stuck the swab up my nose so hard and fast that I thought that my soul had left my body for a second. Not worth the wait.

Medical establishments can be so rough! Been in and out of hospitals a lot for my spouse this year.

Oh I’m sorry to hear that. I really don’t know the half of it when it comes to how rough medical establishments can be. I just thought that my experience today was worth writing a little bit about. Kept me busy during the two hour wait to see a doctor

That's great! I think the blogs here are a great way to write in a way you wouldn't on other social media. ^_^
