this entire ordeal was something that truly changed my life
meeting in the bloom of online dating
swallowing our pride for you to ride the next town over meet me at my local mall
and to whisk me back to your world, where I would call home for the next year
it started so quickly, but i felt there was no way i could stop it
some things i believe we do for not only survival, but for the greater goodÂ
and in that moment, i just wanted to make you happy
even if i myself wasn't
despite all you did for me
giving me a garden, my favorite pet, a way of living id dreamed of
but in the end, it wasn't gonna pan out
we both knew this, and would refuse to accept it for months on months
arguing always over something new
but never about the real problem
that we both had demons
that we simply acted as if they weren't there.
