cold mountain rambles

i hadn't seen it but was obsessed with the soundtrack because t bone burnett produced it and the song what was written for the film (ain true love) is amazing!

 t bone burnett has worked on some of my FAVORITE soundtracks like o brother where art thou?, across the universe, inside llewyn davis, true detective, crazy heart, walk the line and the big lebowski. 

this is the soundtrack to cold mountain... LOOK HOW AMAZING IT IS

so you would think with such an amazing soundtrack... this movie should be so good right? NOPE

i watched it being hopeful it would be good even tho it isn't my type of movie but it was just full of missed opportunities

which is sad because it has the making of a good movie. i love a good "death vs love" story ESPECIALLY if it a conquering death because you love someone so much. HECK my favorite hozier song is BASICALLY the same premise of the movie

and the cast is FREAKING CRAZY

you got jude law, nicole kidman, renee zelwellger, brendan gleeson, phillip seymour hoffman, natalie portman, giovanni ribsi, donald sutherland, charlie hunnam, jena malone, lucas black, taryn manning, emily deschanel, jack white and cillian murphy. 

but no... its awful

i mean look what they did to my boy charlie hunnam

so rude

anyways... i will just enjoy the soundtrack and mourn the loss of what could have been.
