I just asked my 7 year old sister what she would do if she encountered a transgender individual (mtf) because she doesn't like boys. So I explained to her, a transgender person is someone who transitioned from the gender they were assigned at birth, to the opposite sex. So in this situation they would be mtf (Male to female). They would still have their male parts, but they would be considered a female. She told me "Would they still have cooties?" I told her no, and she said "Well if my friend's are okay with it, then I am". I'm not saying she's wrong or right, but I'll ask her again when she's older and see what her response is, and if it has changed.
