i think the word "cringe" is so stupid. it sounds stupid, and the whole point of the word is to make people feel bad for what they do/like. "my little pony is cringe" or "youre cringe for putting hot sauce on pizza" are such stupid sentences. its MY pizza and i will put dots of hot sauce on my pizza hoWEVER i want. (i put hot sauce on my pizza one dot at a time like a grid, dont make fun of me im neurodivergent) (my friends made fun of me for it >:[ ) and its MY show to like. my friend alex feels the need to call everything that HE doesnt like cringe and one day i will disintegrate him with my mind.

cringe is just a reaction
it isn't ableist and stuff to use it
since it is something we all feel no matter what
"cringe culture" will never be dead
we all have opinions on stuff we find icky
i would be more worried if someone didn't cringe at something
like gore enjoyers or people who idolize killers
but your friend does seem to be cringing at something that isn't cringe worthy at all
seems pretty normal honestly, i suggest possibly talking about how you feel about their words if you haven't already?
