sooooo my dream from a little girl was to be the first in my family to go to uni and actually enjoy what career i take. I'm in my second last year of school and its all just kinda hit me. holy fuck, i actually need to start taking things seriously. If i had to do anything after i finished school it would be midwifery (for those that don't know, they specialize in childbirth) which just seems like such a rewarding career. Of course it would be very sad at times but it would just be something i'd have to push through ya know. I've just realised that after i finish school, i'm going straight back into it and i'm not going to have any time to be....free. here are some of the options i've come up with:
- I was considering maybe taking a gap year to travel around my country and going to all the music festivals blah blah blah. But then I think about it more and i'm like ahhh i can't do that, i'm broke as fuck and i would be so lonely. I could start saving and cut down on things but i would be too paranoid i think.
- I have family in ireland so maybe go overseas to europe and explore for a bit while visiting them, two birds with one stone. However, once again, i'm broke as fuck and that would involve a gap year. It should be noted that i'm a procrastinator and hate school with a passion, so i probably wouldn't go back to school after i'm finished the gap year.
- I can go to uni like a good little student straight after high school and pretend i'm living my best life.
- I can completely ditch uni and go live in the rainforest with the elves and forage for mushrooms and berries.
- I can completely ditch uni and go to the whitsundays to teach people how to snorkel, serve drinks and live my best life.
I just don't know at this point. Maybe i should just wait. I don't know man, i think living in the rainforest sounds lit. maybe i should become barbie the island princess and live on an island.
