Why do people hate micro-trends sm???

Let's be honest, the only mainstay fashion trend that we've had this decade is y2k... It won't let up and it literally has been going on since the beginning of 2020. TWO WHOLE YEARS... I can easily see this trend going into the mid twenties... There has been a few micro-trends that came about but none of them stick...
