Boat Pics!!!

Her name is Deception and last season she got a new paint job; navy blue with a black waterline with Gothic Roman font decals, it’s pretty uncommon to see a Catalina 27 painted as such, which makes her even more unique and stunning. While she’s out we’re gonna be adding a new coat to fix up the scratches we got this season.

She has an inboard motor; an atomic four, which is still the original inboard the boat first came with (she was made in the 70’s), we’ve serviced it many times just to keep the boat somewhat altogether, and to not hurt our pockets as much. Surprisingly, the old engine is the quietist inboard on the lake.

Deception is definitely a suiting name for her, as when we first got her she was ran on hot wires and the bare essentials, but she would kick ass in regattas. Since fixing her up more she tends to average about 2nd place in the boat races which mostly consist of other Catalina 27s.
