If you're looking for an introduction, I was very impressed by the Cliffs Notes Sociology. Though I got my degree in sociology, I still refer back to it to refresh my memory and reacquaint myself with concepts.
I didn't take more than one class on psychology, but I recently found "Essentials of Psychology: An Introductory Guide to the Science of Human Behavior" by Kendra Cherry and Paul G. Mattiuzzi.
