let's talk about some of my recent fav kpop fashion <3

I am not in the fashion industry or planning on entering it, I just like pretty clothes. OKAY LET'S GO.

I was first intrigued by these girls' fashion during their stereotype music video, most specifically the eye makeup. The use of bright eyeliner matching the bright colour palette of the scene around them was incredibly appealing. HOWEVER, after StayC came back with their new song Run2U I was officially hooked onto their styling. Ever since I was young my taste was influenced by the fashion around me, which so happened to be Monster High Dolls. Subsequently, it's no surprise that I adore the fashion in this music video. From Sieun's leg warmers like Abbey Bominable's to Yoon's motor bike sequences, it has me in a choke hold.

StayC's wardrobe is clearly carefully crafted to appeal to teens and those that follow current fashion trends. Using chunky rings, moon boots and corsets, they are bound to attract a younger audience. I believe this can be seen through Isa's look the most. She is shot confined within a snow globe holding a bow and arrow. I would associate this look with dystopian titles like The Hunger Games or the 'Matched' series. Dystopian fiction is often associated with teens which fit the current target audience that the trending clothes bring. Although I can admit that the dance sequence outfits are underwhelming, I can also appreciate that these outfits only emphasise how good the solo shots are. I would highly recommend those who haven't experienced this video to watch it and see it for what is is, greatness.  

I have had a love-hate relationship with Straykid's music for a while now but I can safely say that Maniac is a good ass song. In fairness, I didn't enjoy it until I watched the music video as the cinematography rlly complimented the tone and pace of the song. My love for the music video aside, let's talk about the fashion.

I've come to the realisation that anyone could wear these damn goggles and I'd call them a fashion icon. I think it's my irrational love for the cyber-punk but also lowkey steampunk style. If I were to own the esqape goggles I could live peacefully. I also highly recommend checking the esqape website just to see the masterpiece of the pink heart sunglasses (sometimes I despise my awful eyesight that requires me to need a prescription to see the world ☹).
