As you may now, these days in the northern hemisphere it's happening the annual meteor shower, and there are hundreds of shooting stars every night. So some friends and I went to see them. We took the car, we drove to a lighthouse, we went up the mountain and laid down in the middle of the road to watch the sky.
I think I've never seen so many stars. We stayed in total darkness for about one hour and a half. We could see the milky way all across the sky. We saw a lot of shooting stars, big ones and small ones. A lot of sattelites too. There were more people near us also watching the stars and we all screamed and pointed at the big ones.
We talked a lot while being there. We also laughed, we talked about the stars, about movies and books.
I had a reflex camera with me but I didn't take any good pictures of the sky. I took my brother's camera because it had a bigger sensor than mine, but I didn't know how to properly set it up. Also, it was windy so my tripod kept moving. But I liked the pictures I took when we arrived there, with the last lights of the sunset.
We were looking at the sunset in the Atlantic sea at the End of the World. All the way across the ocean, it's where you are :)
