So I started playing my bass again last year after not playing it forever. I finally got better than I was when I was in a shitty band my senior year. Lately I've been going to music stores looking for deals on a second 4x10 speaker cabinet.
A few weeks ago something that wasn't planned happened though. I fell in love with a used bass. It was a 5 string and I loved it. I played it on a few amps in the store and it sounded and felt amazing. So I bought it even though I didn't plan on buying anything.
I bring the bass home and hook it up to my setup and it sounds like shit. I play with the settings on my amp and I get it to sound ok, but not good. I figure fine and start playing it.
Not even 5 minutes into playing disaster strikes. Two of the speakers in my cabinet stop working. Fuck I tear apart my cabinet I found out some solder gave way on a speaker. I think I can fix it, but I need a second set of hands to do it. So now here I am two weeks later haven't touched either of my basses angry cuz I don't have anything to play them on.
I guess that's what I get owning equipment as old as I am. Damn it I want to play right now!
