looking for book recs!!!

im looking for book recs similar to some of my favs!! ive been in a reading slump and just rereading old favs, which is fun, but i want to try to branch out again !

currently ive been devouring donna tartts novels (although due to the aforementioned reading slump i havent been able to get through the little friend yet) and im CRAVING more of the same vibes. i think the secret history might be my current favorite book. ive also read if we were villains and loved it!

so please!! if youve read something with dark academia, college, long conversations, cigarettes and perhaps murder comment here!! i would really appreciate it:)
