i sort of love midnight. it is the only time when it's no longer today, it's tomorrow. the only time of day when you can be free from the responsibilities of the day, because it's not today, it's tomorrow. i would not compare it to time travel, because it doesn't seem to exist in time. it's just quiet, peaceful.
maybe you'll find this peace in some corner of 4am, or tucked away just after 10 pm, but surely it's most potent just as the clock switches from 11:59 to 12:00. so silly for four numbers to separate one day and the next, but so magical is its effect on me.
