Cajun Pasta Salad

For the creole seasoning 


4 teaspoons garlic powder
4 teaspoons onion powder
2 tablespoons  paprika powder
1 tablespoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (to taste, depending on your preferred heat levels)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Put into an airtight container and shake thoroughly 


for the dressing:

1/2 c. mayonnaise 
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tbs olive oil 
2 tbs creole seasoning (see above recipe) 

For the pasta salad 

1 large red bell pepper, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
2 green onions, thinly sliced
2 celery stalks, thinly sliced 
2 cups grilled protein of choice 

12oz bowties/rotini/penne (any of those work here) 

- Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, and rinse and cool. 

- mix dressing 

-combine pasta, protein and vegetables into a bowl, along with dressing and toss to coat.

-Refrigerate until ready to serve
