Hello World!
As an internet native, this format is both the best and worst thing ever. The block colours, the square buttons and classic Arial font: it hits you with both cringe and nostalgia. Although my strictly regulated internet monitoring until the age of 14 made it practically impossible for me to build any real internet presence and terrify me with regards to posting any sort of content for the world to see and judge, my first classic and timeless form of 'social media' was Club Penguin. Can't go wrong with building an igloo, collecting barely enough money to customise my puffle then blowing it all on a new accessory for myself, and cussing out random strangers for no apparent reason, right?
Then came Movie Star Planet. Now this one stayed with me for much longer. This is where the material gworl lifestyle began, although I was never able to wholly embrace the experience as a tumblr neek with no fashion sense or how to talk to people full stop. (Actually my fashion sense was fucking amazing as a full time fashion designer for y/n's outfit designs on Polyvore iykyk)
Basically this violent flashback into the early '10s is just to show how far we've come, but here we are craving the simplicity and naivety of the early days of the internet when we were just trying to make new friends and convince ourselves that we were the shit. I'm not sure how much i will post but i guess it will all be as the universe shalt wisheth.
Signing off,
trish (^▽^)
