kandi basics [HOW TO/TIPS]

I wanted to make something about kandi basics and tutorials that helped me out when I first tried making kandi and knowing about it. I've also seen some posts on different places about wanting to try kandi but not knowing where to start so i though this might help someone out. This will be the very basics and won't be in a lot of detail or go too much into the history for a quick read but it's always good to start somewhere.

Finding places to get beads, string etc is the first step. Some places to get them are craft stores in your area, dollar stores and the online store called beadtin is great too.

The first thing to learn is singles. They're pretty easy and can be made in like 5 mins. This video shows how they are made and talks a little bit about the history of it.

It took me a while to start learning cuffs and I still am to be honest but they're the next step up. All of the methods in the next videos are peyote methods. These do take up a little bit more time but the payoff is cool. Patterns can be found on sites like kandipattern and they have a wide range of styles for cuffs, masks, perlers etc.

This is all I'll do for now as these two types are considered the basics but if this is helpful I can do another part of this sometime later on that goes into a bit more detail.
