man, I don't even know

God, this is so wild. The entire aesthetic and function of this website scratches such a unique nostalgia itch for me. I wasn't allowed to have a myspace, and I didn't have one for very long before my parents (of which one worked in IT) found out.

It reminds of a time when the internet was still kind of cool and you weren't being tracked everywhere. When everything wasn't so interconnected, and websites weren't collecting every bit of your personal information.

But also, there's that tiny part of me, from middle and high school, who wanted that emo/scene (there was a lot of crossover at my schools) aesthetic, to really break into those subcultures. And I was always kind of on the periphery of it. I was there, but only kind of. I really am regressing into the emo aesthetic my high school self always dreamed of.
