Being Trans in a Conservative State

I live in a mainly conservative state. The city I live in is fairly liberal and accepting, but I still get "f*ggot" and "t*nny" often in the hallways of my school. The recently established gender neutral bathroom is misused for cis couples having sex or smoking weed, and the sign on the door gets ripped off so often that it just says "girl" now. Romantic partners are only interested in you for the body you were born in. I'm fortune enough to be in a small circle of fellow trans people at school. Being trans isn't a trend or a choice (I wouldn't put myself through harassment on purpose) but it's a life I wouldn't change. (Unless I could be cis.)  For fellow trans people in similar situations- there are people supporting you all over the place. I hope this brought comfort for someone :)
