Creepy book

I have this book that I used to be terrified of when I was little. in the book a mothers house burned down (which terrified me for some reason) so i threw it away. the very next day, the book was right back where i had picked it up from. I had no idea how that happened, so i was scared of it for ages. i saw that book again today. I asked my stepmother how it happened and it turns out she found it and put it back into my room. Now that i think about it, it actually makes way more sense now-
