My Take on Banana Fish

This will contain no spoilers, so feel free to read. I first came across Banana Fish on TikTok in 2020. I watched it a couple months later and I felt completely betrayed by what it had been portrayed as on TikTok. What I had seen as a romance story with action turned out to be an incredibly graphic story containing drugs, abuse, sexual abuse, and death. 

While I did end up enjoying the story itself, I wish I had known what I was getting into. For those who have watched Banana Fish, you will know that the "romance" is a *very* minor part of a story that focuses on trauma and revenge. All of the characters have some sort of traumatic backstory, or are the cause of the trauma. It is an incredibly triggering story that you should watch if you are mature, and not a minor. 

If you would like to watch Banana Fish, please be aware of the following trigger warnings: drug use, death, pedophilia, sexual abuse, rape, cp, partial nudity, blood, murder, guns, gay slurs. This story is not for the faint of heart and you should not watch it if you yourself are in an unstable/bad mental place.
