Why I never cared about American history

I always knew there was more going on than what they were teaching us but never really knew the extent of it. The American government keeps us so far from the truth it's ridiculous. The colinization of America was not all fun and games and treaties and agreements. It's far from it. And black History is so much more than the underground Railroad. It wasn't until last year during the riots that I learned about true black History and what actually happened that I started to really do research. The past year or so has been so hard from the pandemic to black History to learning about cultural appropriation to the indiginous movement we are currently in. If you haven't done your research yet, I highly encourage all of you to do some research on the matter. Thanksgiving isn't what they claim it was about and I will not be celebrating it this year.
