highschool problems

Okay so I'm over halfway through my 8th grade year which means next school year, I'll be in high school. There's this school that's about 15-20 minutes away from where I live that is absolutely amazing! Like they have an awesome media arts program and even an option to major in a visual arts/media arts hybrid. I know when I'm older I am going to go into either photography or graphic design so it's perfect for me. This school has sooo many opportunities and it would be so good for my future.. But there's a problem :(. Remember how I said it was a little further away? Well, I live with just my dad and he works earlier in the morning so transport would be an issue since there's no busses that come in my town or really anywhere close to me. I have a solution to this- kind of.. I have a pretty close friend who is for sure attending the school and is already enrolled. Her mom has agreed to take us to the school every morning, and since I live near my grandmother and she's pretty heavily involved in my life, she is willing to drive me when my friend is sick, her mom can't take us, etc. Although I have this solution, my dad is totally against me going for some reason.. He says I need a 100% dependable way to get to school until I can drive.. Apparently, the risk of that friend and I splitting apart is too high and I wouldn't have a way to get to school then. There's also other downsides to me going to that school.. My friends really don't want me to go, especially one because they're afraid I won't talk to them or hangout with them anymore. Which is not true, at all. My friends mean the world and so much more to me, I love them sm istg they're the only thing still keeping me going.. Anyways, that's all ig

omg, that's such a good opportunity. I go to a school that's 20 minutes away and fortunately there's a bus that comes to the center of my town. I left friends behind in order to fulfill my dreams so just look at it that way. Also maybe have a talk with your dad stating that by going to this school your mental health could improve and that it's your dream. If that doesn't work...guilt-trip him
