christmas feelings

it rained most of today. a high of 57 degrees fahrenheit. on christmas day, i usually go out to a chinese restaurant and a movie with a friend but now that we can't go to places, i had the food delivered and the movies stolen with the use of my good friend's hbo max account.

remember going out? to Places?

this year has, obviously, been a lot on everyone. but i feel lucky that i got even this far. i feel lucky i got to move back in with my girlfriend and manage to snag a job on top of dealing with Everything Going On These Days. you know, what with these Unprecedented Times.

my 25th birthday is coming up in less than a month. like i said, it feels strange to have gotten this far in my life. there was a time that getting to 18 years seemed like an unattainable goal. and yet i'm here. 5 years till i'm 30. like some sort of old person?

i hope anyone reading this is having a serviceable holiday. god knows we can't ask for much beyond serviceable these days.
