I had a traditional Polish supper for Christmas tonight!! It was really tasty
Here is some of the food I ate!
These are Polish dumplings, or pierogi as we call them! They are filled with sautéed mushrooms and sauerkraut! They go very well with beetroot soup!
Speaking of beetroot soup, here it is! It was soooo tasty, and it is served with mini pierogi (also known as uszka or "little ears") also filled with mushrooms and sauerkraut!
There's nothing tastier and more comforting than a nice warm cup of beetroot soup on a cold Winter morning... so cozy!
Here is some fish! The entire meal is pescatarian, so there is no meat, only fish! Here we have battered hake in the closer half of the dish and battered carp in the further half! Carp is really tasty but dealing with the fish bones is really annoying!! >:[
You can also see some kompot in the glasses in the background!! This is a really tasty and sweet drink made from boiling lots of fruits in water and sugar!
Last but not least is the salmon! It is topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions, and it's really good! Salmon is my favourite fish to eat by far!
I love the food we have during Christmas Supper! I look forward to it every year :]
What kind of good food do you eat for Christmas? I'd love to know!

My family on my mom's side is Polish and I love Borsht (beet soup). It's a cold soup which is weird to some people. I love pierogies, especially with potato and garlic or cheese inside but I also like the little ones with mushroom inside. And love all the fish, but also love kielbasa.
