Karma in action ???

Karma in action???

We have probably all spoken that Karma is a bitch. What comes around goes around. You will get yours. Etc... We all wish Karma would get those who have done us wrong. The reality is, you will never be there when Karma finally does strike the individual. Real revenge though, is being able to see what Karma does to those who have done you wrong without you having any hand in the action. How many times have you actually seen Karma in action? When fate pays most people a visit, we usually say it's just bad timing or bad luck. But have you ever seen Karma working? I have. Never before. But I have now.

My wife has decided that we should get a divorce and has many a reason as to why we should do this. I didn't wait late in life to get married to get a divorce later. I don't necessarilly want a divorce or quite agree that all the reasons are grounds for divorce. Sounds more like intense stress to me and just an unhappy phase in life. She has always hated my phrase, "We will laugh about this stuff in a couple of years. Apparently, we won't. But OK. Who wants to be someone's source of unhappiness? If I make you unhappy, I will give you a divorce.

The majority of the household goods are mine. Now, I am not in total understanding why someone would do this, but she began to put all my stuff in the garage. When we got together, she liked my bedroom furniture better and she gave hers away. My living room furniture was nicer, so hers found another home. My kitchen table is unique, so hers went somewhere else. If you guessed that she no longer had any furniture in the house, you guessed correctly. But then she complains that her mattress is on the floor, she has nothing to sit on in the living room to watch TV, no lamps to read by, and no kitchen table to eat at.

When I am unable to get home for possibly a month or two to move, why would you put stuff that you can use in the garage where it is useless to anyone? Her answer is that she didn't want to see me walking around her house packing up. OK. But the furniture??? You can use that stuff.

Karma came to visit.

The central A/C and heat goes out, her vehicles engine light is on and can't be driven (major repair), the window A/C goes out, the refrigerator goes out, the washer machine goes down, the riding lawn mower AND the push mower won't start and need servicing.

It apparently is easy to complain and seek sympathy about having nothing, that all your stuff is breaking down, and your husband left you. WHAT!?!?!?!? I didn't leave you, I went to work. Which in my case means traveling for a month or two at a time. And it was you that wanted divorce and decided I needed another home.

Hence, Karma came to visit. Now, I don't hate my wife, don't slam her, and didn't really want a divorce. With everything that's been said between us, I am not "in love" with my wife, but there is a little love still left for her...not enough to want to get back together though. But it really is hard not to smile when everything hits her all at once like that. You did good Karma.

Beginning to think she pissed Murphy of Murphy's Law off as well. The city is now considering not issuing her the licenses she needs to operate her business. Well, hell. :-)
