I decided to bookmark some of the tech tools I like and use.
Colors
- HTML colors - Alphabetical list of the HTML colors, or sorted by color group, which is slightly more useful for me.
- W3CSS colors - There are so few W3CSS colors in total that it doesn't matter that they're not sorted by color group.
Even with the above colors, I feel like there is a need for more colors in general. I often find myself defining my own for my stylesheets. That, of course, is the point of stylesheets, but I love pre-sets and wish there were more of them.
Online editors
- HTML editor - I personally like using this online HTML editor. It works beautifully. Note: it's not obvious at first glance where the h1, h2 etc headings are located: they are under "Formats".
- PHP editor - The main 2 ones I like are the one from writephponline and the PHP editor from W3CSS.
Oddly enough, I have yet to find a great markdown editor online that's simple to use at a glance. At the moment, I'm using the offline editor ReText because I can get going easily right away. It's not always ideal - when I'm on the last line of what I'm writing, the way it wraps on the bottom line at that point can be a little frustrating. I definitely think there is a need for a simple online Markdown editor, it doesn't need to have all the bells and whistles, just something where people can get going right away.
