im sprout! i use they/them pronouns! i used to go by sprout and also a variation of my birth name but now it's just sprout :3

Where's your username from?

currently im making chiptune-adjacent communist pop music under the name root vegetable boy. origin story of the name is that i was a freshman in art skool college, living in the dorms, and i had this super weird+wonderful roommate who collected human teeth and practiced witchcraft and made excellent fried rice and did drag. one night i was feeling pretty dissociative & distant from myself so i asked them what i look like. they stopped what they were doing, considered me for a second, and then said, slowly: "you look like a nonbinary entity standing at the edge of a forest holding up a root vegetable thats screaming up peanuts. so many peanuts" 

i looked back at them and said "i truly am a root vegetable boy" ... thus a prophecy was fulfilled

What do you do for work?

i was working at whole foods for like a year and it SUCKED BIG ASS so i quit. currently unemployed occasionally working thru postmates ... i like to think of myself as an angel for all high people when im doin that job

Where are you from?

grew up in Denver, moved to Chicago in 2017 to go to (f)art school, moved back to Denver this year (kind of on accident but im rolling w it)

omg. so much. i don't think i've felt genuine happiness like this on a website in years. coding my profile took hours but was SO much fun, i loved that. i love how many of my twitter music mutuals are also on here <3 & the entire formatting of the site is so beautiful&nostalgic to me even tho i was never on myspace. early internet vibes. immaculate

watching my partner kill nazis in wolfenstein ii, emotional vulnerability, hittin tha dab pen, drinking too much redbull, minecraft ........................ uhhhhhhhh sometimes i make music too
