People may think astrology is a bunch of hogwash–but we’re in the last week of Mercury Retrograde, and I’ve been trying to get this episode out for weeks! That just tells you how much technology has loved me these days. We had a lot of technical issues with this interview, and I’m thrilled that it’s finally ready for you!

When it comes to this episode–better late than never because our guest is the talented Michael Hartney! Micheal has been known in the NYC improv and sketch world for years–but the pandemic has pushed him to provide a place for his fellow performers to grow: Squirrel Comedy Theater! We talk about his life in lockdown and why he thinks it’s important to compensate performers.

Of course, I interviewed Micheal earlier this year–you can still hear the chill of February in our voices and my equipment crapping out. Recently, The Squirrel started performing at Caveat so it’s really cool to hear the enthusiasm in Micheal’s voice and seeing his ambitions come to life in June.
