On the Tenth Day, I was Swallowed

On the Tenth Day, I was Swallowed.

The day began like most.
My glass figure drifted aimlessly on the surface of
Her ocean—
cool waters brushed the sleep from my eyes
as She embraced me,
of all things,
that morning.

It didn’t take long
for the sun to notice me stir.
She, too, gazed upon Her reflection
with a warm smile pulling
at the corners of Her lips.
I wonder now if she knew
what was in store for me.

I peered over the horizon
as an unfamiliar shadow
caught onto my curiosity.
“Why, hello!” I smiled.
They drifted closer
with intentions I had not yet seen.
The sky hanging above us stifled a sob.

The stranger,
a creature with delicate limbs and flat teeth,
took me between their fins,
or fingers,
and stole my message in a breath.

Hello! I wanted my first blog to be one of my poems, so... Here it is. It was for a poetry contest which had the writer create a poem surrounding an image of a message in a bottle.
