Sifu taught and practiced different styles and forms for many years. These are the forms I have been practicing:
Yang Style 8
This was the first form I learned and it taught me many of the basics.
Yang Style 24
Still working on the indomitable Snake Creeps Down but have improved overall in the 24 form.
Chen Style 36
Chen is a bit more subtle. As sifu says, there are many "twiddly bits." I practiced this form on the side for about a year.
Old Yang Style (Cheng Man Ching) Modified Short Form
Sifu's first form was from his master who also trained Northern Shaolin. The ordering of the postures is different from CMC, and it's done in more of an Old Yang Style (pre-Yang Cheng Fu) than in the 'traditional' CMC style.
Medical Form
This also came from sifu's master. It's similar to Old Yang Style and is one of my favorite forms.
Sun Style Arthritis Form
Also called the 30 form.
9 Form
This is a very unique form that has some Qigong characteristics. The first Tai Chi instructor at the local college taught this form to students who continue to teach it.
