I can't complain too much since I'm just in my 30s. However, one thing I've noticed about my body as I age is I have random injuries, aches and pains that can't be explained. They'll come and go. Some only last for a day. Others last for months. I think, "How in the heck did I get this one?"
I have a hard time accepting my body is less durable and agile than it used to be. 10 years ago I would run up the stairs, skipping every other step. Now I hold on the railing. Getting down and up off the floor takes a few more seconds.
I always took pride in my health and thought I wouldn't have to worry about this stuff for a long time. But now I know how it works. Old age slowly creeps up on you. And you adjust your lifestyle to it. It slowly chips away at your health. You make minor, almost unnoticeable adjustments to it until years later you're basically a different person.

I recommend checking out a book called: "the barbell prescription".
Minimal time investment with maximum outcome.
If you need some motivational software to get you off the computer to lift on a daily basis, I've written some in VB6 and will send you the source.
BTW, what kind of stuff do you like coding?
