It's clear that we're missing the days we were able to go outside without the fear of encountering the coronavirus. The lockdowns imposed in 2020 made us feel incredibly isolated, stressed and worried. Though they say it is natural to feel anxiety, we must find ways to at least minimize the stress.
My escape has always been travel; traveling is my stress reliever. Being at my desk in the office, I often feel lacking in vigor. I truly missed that feeling of riding on a bus and going on a journey, because nature is my healer. It is, in fact, the great therapist.
When we finally get to a point where we can go somewhere freely, I know I will savor that moment and relish the time I am on the road.
I’ve been staring over and over at my saved pictures, just reflecting. I missed going back to familiar places, exploring new ones, and capturing the best photo I could take.
While traveling is now permitted with health standards in place, I can’t take the risk. The safety of my family and my loved ones is my utmost priority.
For now, I'll stick to the mantra: better be safe and "anti social" than sorry.
