as someone who's trying to learn to draw wayyyy too late in the game, IT'S SO EMBARASSING im looking to my right and seeing someone who came out of the womb with colored pencil in hand creating lourve-worthy pieces for the fandom im in and i look back down at what i have down and it looks like im trying to draw with a cast on while in an active washing machine like IM 16 I SHOULD KNOW HOW TO DRAW A CIRCLE BUT I DONT
pls does anyone else whos actively attempting art when they're "too old" feel this way, it doesn't even have to be abt art but like. any physical interest really
also if you are someone who has been drawing for a long time,,,,any advice bc i am STRUGGLING but also not but also STRUGGLING

starting anything new is gonna be embarrassing at first obvs but you just gotta keep lookin back @ work youve done and like yk see the progress youre getting at & youll eventually start seein big changes
but dont compare urself to other people!! that is key. Theres no ‘perfect’ art u just gotta find ur own style n the more u practice the better your own style will develop
