white theatre kids and Encanto

My musical academy decided to do Encanto as our school, point is our whole academy is full of white people, i feel like casting us in a play with lot of HEAVY influences (if not entirely based on) colombian culture is just wrong on many levels. My director could have literally choose another musicals full of white people but i guess not
