How to reach inner peace.

I would describe inner peace as having a kind of constant hippieness in the background of your mind. It may sound insane but that's the only way I can describe it. Inner peace is accessible to everyone but the path may vary in difficulty between people. Step one: evaluation. Evaluate yourself and how you treat people. Along with this evaluate the people around you and how they treat you. Step two: ask yourself why your not currently happy. Is it something inside or out of your control? If you can control it then control it. If you can't, don't let it get to you, you can't control it anyway. Step three: Remember step one? it may seem hard but everything that anyone has done to you, can be forgiven. There may not be a sense of closure that comes with it but holding grudges in your mind is distracting and destructive. Step four: (This is where most people get stuck) you have to forgive yourself. The point of life is to learn from your mistakes and grow as a person. If you have grown you can't hold the things you have done in the past against yourself. No matter how bad it is. If you have improved there is no reason to beat yourself up. These steps could take a lot of time but I promise the outcome is so worth it. You can finally be happy and focus one the things you love without your mind crowded with pain.
